McKinven and Colville is a trusted building contractor based in Kintyre, delivering quality construction services across Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland. Built on generations of craftsmanship, the Company is known for its reliable service, attention to detail and commitment to delivering projects to the highest standard across residential, commercial and public sector works.
1962
McKinven and Colville was established by Roy Colville and Kenny McKinven in Kintyre.
1998
The Company continued to expand its reputation across residential, commercial and public sector projects throughout Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland.
2002
McKinven and Colville strengthened its position as one of Kintyre’s most respected and established building contractors, recognised for quality workmanship and reliability.
2026
Now led by Barry Colville, alongside his son Kyle Colville, the Company proudly carries its family tradition into the next generation with over 60 years of experience.
The Company regularly undertakes contracts ranging from small reactive works through to projects in excess of £1 million.
Despite undertaking large-scale contracts and major developments, the Company continues to take great pride in delivering smaller-scale repairs, maintenance works, and property upgrades. McKinven and Colville values every project regardless of size and remains committed to maintaining the same high standards, workmanship and attention to detail across all areas of the Company’s trades and services.
