Machrihanish Golf Club
Following an unfortunate event, Machrihanish Golf Club had to re-build their main clubhouse. McKinven and Colville proudly delivered the construction of the new clubhouse at Machrihanish Golf Club, undertaking and managing all aspects of the build from start to completion. The project included joinery and carpentry, builder work, roofing works, electrical installations, and full coordination of all subcontractors. During the project, construction was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a temporary site shutdown of approximately three months. Despite these challenges, the project was successfully completed to a high standard of workmanship and quality.
Campbeltown Hall
The Campbeltown Town Hall an ever-present landmark in Campbeltown, over the years the building required to be upgraded both externally and internally. McKinven and Colville carried out the extensive restoration and refurbishment of Campbeltown Town Hall, helping transform the historic building into a modern, fully accessible community venue while preserving its original character and heritage. The project involved major structural and renovation works including exterior stone repairs, re-slating of the roof, restoration of original oak and marble finishes, replacement period-style doors and windows, and installation of slimline double glazing. Accessibility improvements included the addition of a DDA-compliant lift, access ramp, disabled facilities, making the building accessible to all for the first time in its history. The Main Hall was further enhanced with new lighting, sound systems, and restored decorative features, creating a high-quality multi-purpose venue for the local community.
